As part of its rich tradition and commitment to moulding future leaders, Tamale Senior High School (TAMASCO) will hold the 2025 Induction Ceremony of Final Year Students into the Old Tamascans Association (OTA) on Saturday, 16th August 2025 at the Colonel Felli Assembly Hall.
This annual rite of passage is an essential moment in the life of every Tamascan, a time to reflect, aspire, and connect with the enduring legacy of the school’s alumni network. The ceremony officially welcomes the outgoing students into the prestigious OTA fraternity, preparing them for life beyond the classroom.
Presiding over the event will be the distinguished Chairman, Mr. Abdul-Latif Bavug, with Alhaji Alhassan Farhan, Managing Director of GCB PLC, as Special Guest of Honour. As an accomplished old boy of the school, Alhaji Farhan’s presence will serve as both inspiration and affirmation of the greatness that TAMASCO students are destined for.
The OTA induction goes beyond mere symbolism; it is a call to excellence. Students will be encouraged to:
- Strive for academic success in their final exams and remain focused on their immediate goals.
- Begin preparing for life after school, especially during the transitional period before their results are released.
- Consider career-defining programmes and opportunities in higher education, guided by the examples set by successful alumni.
- Develop hands-on skills in areas such as digital literacy, entrepreneurship, farming, crafts, or vocational training, essential tools for self-reliance in today’s competitive world.
This year’s theme will highlight the importance of self-development, discipline, and responsibility, values that every Tamascan must carry with pride. Joining the OTA is not just about leaving school; it’s about becoming part of a larger family that supports, mentors, and empowers its members.
TAMASCO remains committed to shaping students not only for exams but for life, a legacy of excellence that continues through each generation of Old Tamascans.
We wish the 2025 inductees great success in their exams and future endeavours.
