Old Tamascans Association (OTA)

OTA is the umbrella union of all past students of Tamale Secondary School (Tamasco). The overarching goal of this Association is to promote a sustained sense of belonging of all members to our Alma Mater.

Our Association therefore seeks to achieve the above by regular communication by which information regarding the school (management, parent association, teaching and non-teaching staff as well as past and present students) would be disseminated to all members, at home and abroad.

Leadership of all existing regional branches would hold regular and targeted programmes and activities designed to, among others:

1. Strengthen the relationship between Tamasco and its alumnae, acquaintances and well-wishers.

2. ⁠Attract qualified students.

3. ⁠Recognise and acknowledge achievements and contributions to the school.

4. ⁠Heighten the sense of pride and commitment to the school.

The leadership of all existing regional branches intend to organise an Alumnae Homecoming in the second week of February, 2024 as part of the 70th Anniversary Celebration of the school’s Cadet Corps. Hopefully, this Homecoming would serve as an avenue for members to socialise, network, reminiscence the good old times in Tamasco and also reconnect with long lost friends and mates.

This event would be climaxed by the adoption of a newly drafted constitution as well as the election of National Executive Officers.
