Tamale Senior High School Extends Compassion to YUMBA Special School
In a remarkable gesture of kindness and humanity, Tamale Senior High School (TAMASCO), under the leadership of Headmaster Mr. Mohammed Yakubu Mustafa, has donated a variety of clothing items to the students of YUMBA Special School in Tamale.
The donation, made on behalf of the entire TAMASCO community, reflects the school’s deep sense of social responsibility, empathy, and compassion toward children with special needs. The Headmaster emphasized that the initiative forms part of the school’s commitment to promoting inclusivity and showing love to all, especially those who require extra care and attention in society.
YUMBA Special School caters for children with diverse disabilities, young ones whose learning and behaviour differ from the norm but whose hearts and dreams remain as pure and hopeful as any other child’s. The TAMASCO team, moved by their resilience, described the visit as a touching reminder of the need for kindness and shared humanity.
Mr. Mustafa expressed that the gesture was not just about giving material support, but about recognizing the dignity of every human being and encouraging others in the community to also extend a helping hand.
“These children deserve our love and compassion,” he said. “They are part of us. When we show them kindness, we help build a more caring and inclusive society.”
Teachers and staff of Yumba Special School expressed deep gratitude to Tamale Senior High School for their thoughtfulness, describing the donation as an act that will bring smiles and comfort to many of their learners.
This compassionate act serves as a powerful call to individuals, institutions, and organizations to look beyond differences and extend support to the vulnerable in society. The true measure of our humanity, as TAMASCO has demonstrated, lies in how we treat those who need our care the most.
